Palm Coast, FL, May 27, 2003—ACI formally announced today the
release of ACI Version 8.5, its industry-leading appraisal software. The
release comes on the heels of ISO's acquisition of the Palm Coast, FL
software company.
ACI 8.5, the most advanced in its life cycle, includes dozens of new features,
forms, interfaces, and Internet-based services that improve speed and
accuracy in completing and managing appraisal reports. Included are over
20 new industry forms, EDI connections, Pocket ZOO field collection software
with bi-directional communication with the ACI desktop, and interfaces
for: Internet flood determinations, QuickBooks, Microsoft MapPoint, Street
Atlas, and DeLorme Internet mapping. The software is available for purchase
and is currently being shipped to thousands of appraisal offices across
the country.
"Across the last several months, I have generated hundreds of appraisals
with
8 dot 5 as a beta user, and it is clear that ACI has raised the appraisal
technology bar another notch with this release," said Ted Dixon,
president of T.R. Dixon and Associates, Tampa, FL. "The people at
ACI are extremely talented and genuinely interested in the customer as
evidenced by the dozens of customer suggestions which are now available
in the software—that's a tribute to the company."
"ACI 8.5 brings forth powerful productivity changes for appraisers,
and positions our customers for the future as our Internet strategy evolves,"
said George Opelka, vice president of ACI. "These are exciting times
for ACI and its customers—with a strategically-committed parent
company (see www.iso.com) and a significant new release in ACI 8.5 paving
the way, we have a clear roadmap for the future."
