ACI and HomePuter Collaborate to
Improve Appraisal Delivery
July 26, 2005, Palm Coast, FL. ACI, the leading innovator in technology for the valuation industry, announced today that HomePuter real estate appraisal software has been certified and approved for use with Lighthouse, ACI’s universal appraisal delivery software.
ACI and HomePuter have been working closely to facilitate the Lighthouse integration. Homeputer’s addition to the Lighthouse family makes it compatible with nine leading appraisal software programs used to package the appraisal into the Lighthouse data standard.
The Lighthouse appraisal data standard is the preferred data delivery format for many of the industry’s largest appraisal companies. “Lighthouse has gained support and industry-wide recognition by providing features that allow technology to transcend compatibility issues in the field,” said George Opelka, vice president of ACI.
The Lighthouse product enables a lender or appraisal provider to extend an invitation to a critical mass of electronically enabled appraisers without requiring the appraisers to learn and manage multiple appraisal software programs. Thousands of appraisals are delivered daily in the Lighthouse standard, which provides appraisal companies with superior rules-based processing, routing technology, and secure digital signatures. The Lighthouse appraisal package is a comprehensive file including the report, addendum, sketch, limiting conditions, photos, maps, and an electronic signature.
Upon loading an appraisal into the Lighthouse software, the appraiser has the opportunity to proof the report and attach an electronic signature before sending. Transmission of the report via Lighthouse eServices, a direct, single-source communication hub that provides server-side centralization and automation of review rules, allows clients to deploy up-to-the minute modifications and additions which increase responsiveness and product accuracy.
